Banipur Mahila Mahavidyalaya, situated at Banipur, North 24 Parganas, is an undergraduate institute for women. The College, located at the fringes of Banipur attracts women students from Banipur, Habra and the district.
Banipur Mahila Mahavidyalaya in Habra was established in 1999 with the objective to provide higher education to women, since there are fewer women's college in the district. Banipur educational complex hosts a number of colleges - Post Graduate Training College for Physical Education and a Teacher's Training College, both having long and illustrations backgrounds.Banipur Mahila Mahavidyalaya at present offers Degree Course in Arts ( both Honours and General stream ). There are 8 UG departments in the college.
Admission to the college
The process of admission of students to 1st year B.A. in all subjects starts immediately after publication of results of the H.S. Examination conducted by W.B.C.H.S.E.
Application forms are available from the college office and each application must be accompanied by the following documents.
(a) Attested true copy Madhyamik Mark sheet & Admit Card.
(b) Attested true copy of H.S. Mark sheet & Admit Card.
(c) Attested true copy of SC/ST Certificate (Govt.). Or, Original certificate of SC/St (M.P. /M.L.A. Certificate).
(d) Two copies of Passport Size Photograph.
(e) Original School Leaving Certificate.
BEGINNING OF THE 1ST YEAR, 2ND TEAR & 3RD YEAR B.A. CLASSES – Teaching of all these classes begin usually in the 1st week of July with proper notification on the college Notice Board.
General Rules & Code of Conduct of Students
(1)Students are to maintain discipline inside and outside the college.
(2) Students are to treat the members of the teaching and non-teaching stuff with courtesy and respect.
(3) Students must maintain silence in the classroom, corridor and examination halls.
(4) Any breach of discipline in the classroom or examination hall will make the students liable to punish.
(5) Total silence should be observed in the library.
(6) No outsider in allowed within the college premises without permission of the Principal and Students
should not bring such outsiders with them.
(7) Students must pay their fees within the 10th of every month.
The college is open from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm on all weekdays.
Date of important programmes such as Annual Examination, Tests, Summer Vacation, Puja Vacation are intimated to the students at the beginning of each academic year.
The session starts on 1st July every year and ends on 30th June of following year.
